The updated amenities were initiated to provide patients with advanced treatments for sports injuries and other musculoskeletal conditions. Unlike public hospitals, the clinic allows patients immediate access to in-house medical practitioners, diagnosis, and treatment options. There are no waiting lists so clients can set appointments and consultations at their convenience.
Unlike conventional machines, the open MRI has no sides or tunnel enclosures. The innovative design allows sports and musculoskeletal medicine specialists to examine the entirety of the musculoskeletal anatomy from all angles—from foot, knees to shoulders, including the L and C-spine. It also significantly reduces claustrophobia and panic attacks usually experienced by patients in enclosed MRI machines.
Furthermore, the exposed nature of the open MRI makes dynamic motion scan possible. The highly specialized examination allows for orthopaedic surgeons to investigate muscle and bone activity closely while employing movement to joints while scanning.
Besides advanced diagnostics through open MRI, the clinic also offers platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections. The treatment uses a patient’s blood and tissue cells to encourage healing in affected areas. It is a suitable treatment for wounds, sports injuries, and joint and muscle conditions.
The clinic offers patients a convenient self-referral process. Obtaining an MRI scan from Open MRI does not require a prescription from a physician. A virtual pre-MRI consultation may be provided upon request and consultations with partner orthopaedic surgeons for advice and treatment are also available.
