Based on a survey conducted by Energage, LLC, the Cincinnati Enquirer has named Silco Fire & Security a winner of the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area 2018 Top Workplaces Award

Cincinnati, Ohio 6/10/18 – Silco Fire & Security has been awarded a 2018 Top Workplaces honor by The Cincinnati Enquirer. The list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by research partner Energage, LLC. The anonymous survey measures several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, company culture, cooperation, training, and compensation, to name a few.

“Top Workplaces is more than just recognition,” said Doug Claffey, CEO of Energage. “Our research shows organizations that earn the award attract better talent, experience lower turnover, and are better equipped to deliver bottom-line results. Their leaders prioritize and carefully craft a healthy workplace culture that supports employee engagement.”

According to Silco’s President, David Fraser, “Roughly 80% of our employees voluntarily participated in the survey and shared feedback on various aspects of our company. We are flattered and honored with this recognition and achievement, while at the same time we gained valuable insight on ways we can continue to improve.”

When asked what aspects of the company contributed most to the achievement of this award, David responded: “We have always had a progressive culture, but over the last several years we have grown quickly in size and made some outstanding hires that have brought more diversity and expertise to our workplace. This has helped propel Silco to be the market leader in Ohio in the Fire & Security industry. We have a meaningful purpose of Protecting People & Property, where people can really connect with the work they are doing. We have an extensive training program that starts with Boot Camp and continues with a curriculum to educate people on our trade and our way of doing business. We recognize and reward performance. We promote from within. We are transparent with where we are going as a company and work hard to keep our people and their families engaged.”

“Becoming a Top Workplace isn’t something organizations can buy,” Claffey said. “It’s an achievement organizations have worked for and a distinction that gives them a competitive advantage. It’s a big deal.”
