The newly updated programs allow children to improve their grasp of the history and various traditions of live theatre performance. Aside from acting, the two classes on offer give students the opportunity to explore musicals, choral foundations, and improv skills.

Suitable for children from six to nine years old, the Musical Theatre 1 class serves as an introduction to the traditions of the discipline. It covers a weekly practice of vocal warm-ups, facial expressions, stage directions, and sing-along songs. Students also get to experience following some light choreography and fitting costumes to create full production numbers.

For children above nine years old, the Musical Theatre 2 class offers more advanced lessons to match the students’ age and aptitude. It seeks to further develop the skills they have learned from the previous program and put them on display in more complex mock productions.

Also offering dance, tumbling, and art classes, BFS provides affordable programs that include recitals at the end of the term. Whether in music, costumes, or choreography, the school is committed to being age appropriate.

Parents may also rest assured that their children will remain safe, as BFS follows the Safer Studio guidelines. This means that they implement a distinct set of precautionary measures, including requiring students and staff who are sick to stay home, minimizing contact and mingling, enhancing their cleaning protocols, and encouraging frequent handwashing and good hygiene.

Blessed Feet Studios is also a YPAD Certified Studio. As their representative explains, “To earn this certification, all staff members must go through an extensive training. The training includes CPR, first aid, background checks, dance education and injury prevention, dancer wellness and development, social media safety, nutrition and disordered eating, bullying and conflict resolution.”
