The newly updated programs allow children to improve their grasp of the history and various traditions of live theatre performance. Aside from acting, the two classes on offer give students the opportunity to explore musicals, choral foundations, and improv skills.
Suitable for children from six to nine years old, the Musical Theatre 1 class serves as an introduction to the traditions of the discipline. It covers a weekly practice of vocal warm-ups, facial expressions, stage directions, and sing-along songs. Students also get to experience following some light choreography and fitting costumes to create full production numbers.
For children above nine years old, the Musical Theatre 2 class offers more advanced lessons to match the students’ age and aptitude. It seeks to further develop the skills they have learned from the previous program and put them on display in more complex mock productions.
