The Reviewers’ Choice presented the award in the first week of June. They chose one company from 20 other competitors to earn this outstanding online recognition badge. Potential award recipients were required to be nominated by customers in order to be in contention for the The Reviewers’ Choice Award. They were judged based on customer phone interviews along with online reviews.

Sue Kulpinski, Founder & Owner of The Reviewers’ Choice, has commented:

Our goal with presenting the prestigious local award is to help consumers narrow down their local search quickly so they’re not spending so much time researching the vast choices online. No business is perfect every day of the year, but ultimately we want to give the consumer peace of mind that the contractor they’ve chosen has a 5-Star reputation and has a solid track record of doing business for some time. It goes without saying that we also want to protect the consumer from the “fly-by-night” companies.” The Reviewers’ Choice is known for their 3 Step Process that help consumers simplify their online search for any type of local service whether it be a dentist, chiropractor, HVAC contractor or pool builder etc.

The Reviewers’ Choice claims the 3 Steps are actually quite simple and often overlooked.

1. Before going to the internet, ask friends, family and neighbors for a referral. Sometimes they can end the search within minutes as they’ve already had a very positive personal experience with a local provider. It make take a few phone calls but this simple tip is overlooked in this technology age.

2. If the friend referral process comes up short, simply eliminate the tedious “due diligence” process by tapping into online sources that have already done the hard work for consumers. Companies like Best Pick Reports, Five Star Rated or Angie’s List have done extensive research, surveys and phone interviews to help the local consumers select the very best in the market.

These online rating companies have also taken the extra step in making sure their featured companies carry General Liability Insurance and some form of worker injury protection insurance which varies by state. In addition, proper trade or professional licenses are confirmed. All of these tiny details protect the consumer from huge unforeseen liability challenges in the future.

3. Now pick 3-4 of these highly recommended companies and do a specific search online for each individual company name. Look for any negative reviews or “Ripoff Reports” that ring true. This helps to vet out any companies whose quality of workmanship or customer service has slipped in the last 6 months.
