Dallas, TX (February 2019) – Precision Vascular & Interventional (Precision VIR) is pleased to welcome the newest members to their qualified specialty medical team in Dallas, Texas—Dr. Aseem K. Bhandari, Esther Kibira, and Keya Lackey. The interventional radiology team offers a spectrum of minimally-invasive treatments with a state-of-the-art interventional radiology procedure suite on-site. Precision VIR providers offer complex venous and arterial procedures previously available only at larger university hospitals.

Dr. Aseem K. Bhandari

Dr. Aseem K. Bhandari earned his medical degree from Temple University in Philadelphia. This was followed by his radiology residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. He received further training at the renowned Miami Vascular Institute, where he had the privilege to learn from some of the greatest minds in vascular and interventional radiology. After completing his fellowship in 2014, he served the Dallas community as faculty in area medical centers and teaching hospitals. Dr. Bhandari’s passion for treating venous and arterial disease ultimately brought him to Precision VIR.

Dr. Bhandari states, “I have trained with some very inspirational people who took the time to teach me how to be an excellent physician, not only by doing procedures but by caring for patients and communicating with other physicians.”

Board-certified in vascular and interventional radiology and an active member of Society of Interventional Radiology, Dr. Bhandari is a sought-after presenter and has been published in peer-reviewed publications. He has completed over 100 aortic aneurysm repairs and treated thousands of patients with venous and peripheral arterial disease (PAD), in which he has a special interest.

“The human body is a masterfully engineered machine and I continue to be amazed at its design. I am passionate about treating leg pain, healing wounds and ulcers, and preventing amputations,” Dr. Bhandari explains. He also believes in empowering patients to be their own advocates, while sharing his unique skills to provide them with the tools to lead a happy and healthy life.

When not helping patients at Precision VIR, Dr. Bhandari enjoys soccer, travel, films, and international cuisine. As for his life philosophy, he states, “I feel privileged to be able to help patients that are in a vulnerable situation because of their illness. I believe that if I create positivity in the world through healing and patient care, ultimately the universe will reciprocate.”

Esther Kibira

Also joining the Precision VIR staff is Esther Kibira, bringing 22 years of nursing experience and a family nurse practitioner (FNP) certification. Ms. Kibira received her undergraduate and graduate nursing degrees at the University of Texas in Arlington, Texas. She has been a nurse practitioner since 2017. She has worked in critical care and interventional radiology for most of her nursing career. She is passionate about how interventional radiology brings relief to patients, and is always striving to gain more knowledge while sharing her knowledge with others. In her spare time, Ms. Kibira is an avid reader of paranormal and supernatural hardcover novels.

Keya Lackey

In addition, Precision VIR welcomes Keya Lackey to their top-notch staff. With 14 years of experience as a registered nurse in critical care and interventional radiology, Ms. Lackey has been a nurse practitioner since 2013. She graduated with a master’s degree in science from Belmont University in 2012. Her goal as a nurse practitioner is to help people live their best lives. As for her joining Precision VIR, Ms. Lackey says she is “excited to join an amazing team with such a stellar reputation and high success rate of treating patients.” Ms. Lackey is also an avid runner and traveler, currently competing in major marathons.

Vascular and Interventional Radiology Advances in Patient Care

Vascular Interventional Radiologists performed treatments on the cutting-edge of medicine, and often help patients avoid archaic surgeries used in the past to treat vascular disease. There are many advantages to these minimally invasive therapies including tiny incisions and quicker healing, reduced risk, less pain, and shorter recovery times. The procedures can be often safely performed in an office or outpatient setting without stepping foot in a hospital. Interventional radiology is focused on providing patients with a high quality of care. The experts at Precision VIR treat all facets of venous and arterial disease and are highly trained in all aspects of treatment from cosmetic to complex medical vascular disease.
