Hugo Del Pozzo, co-founder of the winery, appreciated the accolades and said: ''These amazing scores serve to recognize our team's focus on quality and attention to detail. The accolades also pay homage to the divine element behind the creation of our wines and how a world class wine can awaken one's senses and transcend time.''

Pinea achieved remarkable ratings for the following wines:

- The limited edition ''PSOUL'' received a remarkable score of 99, rating it highest among all wines tasted. Wine Enthusiast describes it as ''one of the Top-5 Wines in all of Spain since 2010.'' It is produced with 100% Tempranillo from a single-vineyard in the high elevation of Ribera del Duero, and like all Pinea wines, sourced from the Pinea estate. Only one 500-liter barrel was produced.

- The winery's flagship wine, PINEA 2018, scored an impressive 96. It is crafted from vines older than 50 years, barrel fermented and aged 24 months.

- The top rated white wine from Spain, KORDE Blanc 2021, earned 95 points. It is produced with Albillo Mayor grapes, and aged for 12+ months in French oak barrels.

- ''17'' by Pinea (2020), produced with Tempranillo grapes from seven different vineyards in the Pinea estate, achieved a notable score of 94 points. It ages for 20 months in French oak barrels.

- KORDE Rosé 2021 received 93 points and the honor of the top rosé wine from Spain. It is also produced with Tempranillo, and aged 6 months in the finest French oak barrels.

Andrés Vignoni, the winery's consultant winemaker, said: ''The land is the basis for everything. But one of the most important things is the influence of people—the way we support the vines over a long period of time until we find the expression that identifies us, which we can help turn into something unforgettable.''

Established in 2014, Bodegas Pinea epitomizes the essence of Ribera del Duero winemaking, characterized by lifted aromatics, intricate flavors, and a graceful finish. Co-founded by childhood friends Vicente Pliego and Del Pozzo, they share a vision to produce world-class wines.

The Pinea estate is situated in the highest elevations of the Ribera del Duero wine producing region, in a mosaic of soils with abundant presence of limestone. It spans 85 acres of mature vineyards, ranging in age from 30 to over 95 years. A majestic pine tree of the Pinea varietal inspired the winery's name.

Pinea embraces a philosophy rooted in organic, sustainable, and biodynamic viticulture. This approach, coupled with a non-interventionist vinification process, reveals the true character of the terroir, letting the fruit to be the star..

Reflecting on the winery's journey, Del Pozzo acknowledges the collaborative effort and inspiration behind their wines. With humility and gratitude, he credits the team's dedication to quality and to the profound connection between the land and its stewards.

As Pinea continues to set new standards for Spanish winemaking, the winery remains steadfast in its pursuit of excellence, aspiring to be recognized among the world's finest producers.
