Travel website Philippine Traveler has released its review of Vista View Resto, one of Davao City’s must-try restaurants. The review comes out in time for the Kadayawan Festival scheduled to commence on August 17.

Formerly Dencio’s Kamayan, the said restaurant occupies the popular spot Hilltop in Barangay Langub, 15 to 20 minutes from downtown Davao City. The restaurant offers a grand view of the Davao cityscape, including a glimpse of nearby Samal Island right across Davao Gulf. This view has gained Vista View Resto its must-try reputation for both Filipino and foreign visitors.

The restaurant’s signature offering, the Boodle Bilao, has gained quite a following, evidenced by raves in review site TripAdvisor as well as on its official Facebook page. The Boodle Bilao is a hodgepodge of rice, grilled seafood and meat accompanied with vegetable salads and a choice of dip served in a woven plate called bilao. Dining boodle-style requires one to eat with one’s hands directly from the bilao. The Boodle Bilao can serve up to 10 persons.

With the upcoming Kadayawan Festival, Vista View Resto expects to see in influx of guests looking to taste their food and enjoy the coveted view of the city. The festival, considered to be one of the biggest in the Philippines, will rake in thousands of revelers especially during the Indak-Indak sa Kadalanan street dancing competition and Pamulak sa Dalan floral float parade.

Philippine Traveler regularly releases reviews of attractions, restaurants and hotels in the Davao Region in their website blog, YouTube channel and social media accounts. The site also publishes guides, lists and travel stories regarding several popular destinations in the Philippines.

The said site also publishes a weekly newsletter. E-books and other content are also available for download at the website and its Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Google Plus accounts.
