Pharmacy Center Planned In Haiti By Medecins Sans Frontieres With Veerhouse Voda

Veerhouse Voda, globally-known for its quality and speed when it comes to emergency structures, disaster resilient housing, and community spaces, recently announced a collaboration with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF)/Doctors Without Borders. The objective is to build a two-story pharmacy center in Port-au-Prince to serve the diverse needs of the patients at MSF Hospital in Port-au-Prince.

“We are pleased to be partnering with Médecins Sans Frontières to bring very much needed pharmaceutical facilities to Port-au-Prince, Haiti,” announced Veerhouse Voda’s Brendon Brewster. “This facility will create jobs, improve services in the MSF hospital for those in need of assistance. The facility itself will be built with technology that is faster and more energy efficient than traditional structures and we are honored by the trust Médecins Sans Frontières has placed in us to create this important facility.”


“The international medical organization MSF is pleased to make available this new pharmacy to serve patients we treate in Nap Kenbe hospital in Tabarre, Port-au-Prince. Our teams always need medicines and storage capacity to provide care to the many patients who are suffering, especially trauma victims”, said Sebastien Libert, Head of Mission in Haiti. This unit should be operational at the end of 2017.


The new two-story pharmacy center is designed to serve the unique needs of this hospital where MSF realize more than 600 free surgical procedures per month. The structure will span 662 square meters and feature a reception/dispatch area, general storage, a cold room to manage heat-sensitive medications, and will have office space.
