Partnering with Agoda and Ctrip, the Mozio Group Embraces the Asian Market

Earlier this month the Mozio Group sealed a new partnership with Agoda and Ctrip, integrating Mozio into the highly sought after Asian market.

The partnership allows Agoda to sell all of Mozio’s 3,000 ground transportation options through their website, in the booking flow, and on a separate tab on the Agoda.com homepage and Ctrip will integrate Mozio into their transportation infrastructure, focusing on selling Mozio’s international inventory to the Asian market.

“We have been preparing for this launch for a long time, localizing our sites, adding local coverage in these partners’ major markets, so we are honored that two of the market leaders have chosen us for their ground transportation needs,” says David Litwak, Mozio Group’s CEO.

Mozio has been quietly building a mobility juggernaut behind the scenes over the past 7 years – while headlines are focused on the direct to consumer rideshare and scootershare apps, Mozio has been quietly aggregating them, with a total of 3,000 shuttles, taxis, limousines, express trains, buses and public transit options.

Mozio provides the backend ground transportation engine that powers over half of the major online travel agencies: Booking.com, Skyscanner, eDreams Odigeo, Despegar, CheapOAir.com in addition to corporate travel firms like American Express Global Business Travel, airlines like JetBlue, New Zealand Air and hotel chains like Accor Hotels to name a few. Mozio aggregates train, bus, and private driver schedules and provides the technology behind the scenes, to allow its partners to match their customers with their desired forms of transportation. Mozio also serves consumers directly, where they can book, at Mozio.com.

An all-around beneficial partnership for all three partners.

Prior to this partnership, Mozio’s main clientele were the EU market, North America and South America. Ctrip and Agoda both lacked robust “last mile” ground transportation options. Having partnered with Mozio, Ctrip and Agoda customers can directly book their flight right through to their hotel in one sitting. For Agoda this partnership represents the first non-hotel product they sell, and Mozio is their first external partner. For Ctrip it represents the first truly international, non-China centric, ground transportation partner they are working with.

Mozio’s view is as the mobility world becomes more fragmented, with 10+ options in major cities for how to get from point A to point B, an infrastructure is necessary to tie it all together. The launch of their partnerships with Agoda and CTrip mark the beginning of the expansion of their mobility engine to the Asian market.

Mozio’s total fleet size outranks Uber and Lyft insofar as Uber and Lyft are both partners and part of Mozio’s network. It is the only big “MaaS” or “Mobility as a Service” technology partner that has focused on building out a full transportation infrastructure from public transit all the way to limousines – as new forms of transportation are launched every year like carshare, scootershare, bikeshare, various forms of on-demand shuttles and rideshare, Mozio has been the only company quietly building this infrastructure behind the scenes. Seven years in and they are now ready to tackle the massive Asian market.
