Many contractors ignore the county’s strict zoning regulation on outdoor facilities, but BestYard and Dominoe Properties met zoning regulations and received Douglas County’s only zoning permit for a location for multiple landscape contractor operations.
They creatively screened their 7.5 acre facility from public view with 5-foot landscape berms and 6-to-10 foot fencing, 70 trees, and 350 shrubs and grasses. They even incorporated a front and rear detention pond to hold and filter water runoff to meet Colorado water quality and environmental standards.
