-- Plano, TX, September 20, 2022 — Brooks Eye Associates has announced the addition of board-eligible ophthalmologist Parsha Forouzan, M.D., M.S., to their practice. Dr. Forouzan specializes in oculoplastic and cataract surgery, which further solidifies Brooks Eye Associates’ reputation in the area as a provider of high-quality eye care and eye surgery.

A Texas native, Dr. Forouzan first obtained both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in biomedical engineering from the University of Houston, where he graduated summa cum laude. His admiration for the patient-doctor relationship led him to pursue medicine: he received his M.D. from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at Houston.
He later completed his residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, where he found his passion for reconstructive, aesthetic, and cataract surgery. He then continued into a fellowship at UT Southwestern in oculoplastics.
“I’m very excited to join Brooks Eye Associates and begin meeting patients, and of course – getting to work!” said Dr. Forouzan. “What I greatly admire about them is their professionalism, which supports me in everything I do. As a surgeon, I’m very focused on my patients’ goals and helping them achieve a natural look. It’s very detail-oriented, and there’s nothing more satisfying than seeing a patient love how they look and feel — especially with some of the delicate surgeries I perform!”
Dr. Forouzan helped pioneer suture-less ptosis repair — an eyelid surgery — and is one of the first surgeons in the country to perform the procedure. Fluent in English, Farsi, and basic Spanish, Dr. Forouzan hopes to start working with patients immediately.
Brooks Eye Associates is open and taking appointments for both new and existing patients in the Plano and Dallas areas.
