Earlier today, Michele Renaud, a bilingual psychologist with 25 years of experience, finally announced the launch of her new Online Therapy Service, which has been in development since 2014. The main aim is to give people the convenience of getting therapy from the comfort of their own home… but it does so, with a difference. Michele can help people out of challenges such as depression, anxiety, mood disorders, phobia, panic attacks, PTSD, stress, sleep issues /insomnia, low self-esteem, life transitions, chronic illness/pain, relationship issues, search for meaning, emotional disturbance, CBT and grief. With two offices, Oakville and St.Catharines, she also serves people from Mississauga and Burlington and offers therapy in both English and French.

As compared to face-to-face therapy, research suggests that online therapy for reducing symptoms such as anxiety, stress and depression has been found to be equally effective. After months of testing the concept with existing clients, Michele said “I want to give my patients options. With my new Online therapy service, they have a fresh new possibility via a secure online platform and the results are excellent”.
Michele chose to make this move because It offers the flexibility of meeting from people’s home or office, and to conveniently accommodate the client’s travel schedule.
The approaches she may use in her practice include, but are not limited to, the following: Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Clinical Hypnosis, Mindfulness Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (MCBT), and Energy Psychology.
For over twenty-five years Michele has enjoyed a successful private practice as well as offering services to hospitals and schools.
Recently she has been actively working with agencies such as the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA-Waterloo Wellington) providing psychotherapy through telemedicine and offering workshops on different topics such as depression, anxiety, stress and mindfulness practices. She created two 4-week programs intended for anyone who wants the skills to alleviate stress and manage symptoms of anxiety and depression.
She has also been working for “Caring for my COPD program” at the North Hamilton Community Health Centre and at the Community Health Center in Welland; a 10-week community-based program designed to enhance the quality of life for people with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).
The new Online therapy service is set to launch October 27, 2017 and is available for residents of Ontario and Quebec. To find out more about the new service and Michele, please visit http://www.MicheleRenaud.com
