Nuance Energy Earth Anchor Technology For Solar Installation: Guide Launched

Share this news:

Nuance Energy Group has released a new guide covering the effectiveness of its Osprey PowerPlatform® and Earth Anchor technology for ground-mounted solar projects.

-- The new guide covers the main hurdles that installers face when managing residential solar projects, and how the Osprey PowerPlatform® has been purpose-built to overcome these - allowing it to dramatically reduce project timelines and cut costs.

Nuance Energy explains that installers typically have to use heavy machinery to drill holes and drive piles into the ground - and prior to beginning the work, extensive geotechnical reports are required, which can cause delays.

With their new approach, the hot-dip galvanized Earth Anchors eliminate the need for heavy-duty machinery. The entire system can be installed using handheld tools.

The guide explains that, with an anchor footprint of just 1.5 inches in diameter, installers can work effectively in locations with rocks, frozen ground, or difficult terrain - conditions that traditionally complicate solar array installations.

The platform's adjustable legs provide over two feet of vertical adjustment, so there's no need for extensive ground preparation or leveling work - which often add significant time and cost to solar installations.

The installation process requires no specialized training or labor expertise, either. The straightforward assembly process follows an intuitive approach similar to putting together flat-pack furniture, allowing installation teams to quickly master the necessary techniques.

According to Nuance Energy Group, a three-person crew can complete a 6kW photovoltaic system installation in under 60 minutes using basic tools. For larger commercial projects, the efficiency gains are more pronounced - a 2MW installation that traditionally requires 60 days can be completed in 16 days.

Nuance Energy Group has developed a detailed Learning Management System to support installers. The system includes detailed demonstration videos and documentation, enabling installers to master the techniques in under an hour.

A spokesperson states: "Traditional systems require multiple trips and delays due to concrete curing. We eliminate those delays. Our Earth Anchor System allows for nimble, fast deployment, making it easy to scale up quickly."
