The updated offerings were initiated to provide patients with a sophisticated and discreet solution to achieving straighter teeth and improved dental health. Popular among adult patients who opt not to wear unsightly metal braces, clear aligners offer the same effective treatment without sacrificing aesthetics.
Clear aligners are detachable custom-fitted dental appliances that gradually straighten crooked teeth over time. A series of trays are fabricated to progressively reposition teeth to their ideal location. Depending on the treatment plan, each aligner is usually worn for at least 22 hours a day for a prescribed number of weeks. It may only be removed when eating, brushing, or flossing.
The treatment begins with a state-of-the-art intraoral scan of a patient’s mouth that ensures each aligners’ accurate fit. A prediction of the patient’s teeth movement to the desired position is generated by 3D imaging software. This determines the number of dental trays needed for the duration of the treatment.
