-- The ARHG Foundation has recently announced the third annual Festival of FUN, a community event that celebrates diversity and is set to take place on March 1, 2025, at the UOW University BIG Hall in Wollongong, Australia. This one-of-a-kind festival is open to everyone, with a special focus on individuals with disabilities, their families, friends, carers, and guardians.

More information and details on how to book tickets can be found at https://www.festivaloffun.com.au/

The Festival of FUN has been carefully designed to foster inclusivity, joy, and connection for people of all different ability levels, as well as those who love them.

Attendees at the event can look forward to a day packed with live entertainment from some of Australia’s most talented performers, interactive activities for all ages, discussion forums, games and opportunities to engage with a wide range of service providers. These activities are crafted to encourage exploration, interaction, and community building in an environment that both welcomes and celebrates diversity.

Founder and Director David "Macca" McFarland says, "I've been in the disability space as a volunteer for over 25 years and what we've found is that there are no events like this especially for families, so we wanted to make an event where we brought everyone together. I've got so many friends and family with a disability and what actually happens at the Festival of FUN is you become part of the family."

The festival is fully accessible and will feature live performances by a diverse line-up of artists - both those with and without disabilities - thus showcasing the creativity and talent of people across the international community. Attendees will enjoy inclusive entertainment options, like a petting zoo and sports events, and also have a chance to discover additional resources that can facilitate care and assist with helping individuals with disabilities to lead more fulfilling lives.
