In a slightly different approach to launching its new Math and English tutoring support for students 4 to 14 years of age, Eye Level of Oakridge Learning Center, an after-school education center in Vancouver BC has decided it will having an open house on January 21 where the local community is invited to tour the brand new center, try out some critical thinking puzzles, play games and have some refreshments. Giveaways and prizes will be given out to all that attend.

Where most businesses tend to just launch and keep quiet about it, Eye Level of Oakridge Learning Center has decided to be a little more exciting with the start of its new Eye Level Learning Center located at Main St and 41st Ave in central Vancouver, near Queen Elizabeth Park.

Davidson Sy, Co-Founder at Eye Level of Oakridge Learning Center, says: “We wanted to be exciting with the launch of our new Eye Level Learning Center because we wanted to do something truly memorable and get to know some of the people in the local community. It should be really worthwhile and we’re hoping it will help get the word out about our grand opening. It should go great unless too many people show up and we don’t have enough giveaways for everyone!”

Eye Level of Oakridge Learning Center has made it a point to stand out when compared to other after-school education and tutoring programs in the Vancouver BC area. This launch celebration is just one of the many ways it does so.

This is a great chance for Vancouver BC residents to see what the Math and English learning center has to offer, have a great time and support a dedicated local business.

Eye Level of Oakridge Learning Center is operated by husband and wife team, Davidson and Krista Sy of Richmond, BC. Both Davidson and Krista are BC certified teachers and hold specializations in certain areas such as special education, teaching English as a second language, gifted education and working with students with learning disabilities.

Co-Founder Krista Sy says: “While Eye Level of Oakridge Learning Center may not be the only business with this kind of offering, local residents are choosing Eye Level of Oakridge Learning Center because we are lifelong educators with over 25 years of combined experience teaching in small and large groups, from toddlers to adults and both locally and internationally.”

When asked about the new Math and English tutoring service, Davidson Sy said: “We think it’s going to be a hit because we are prepared to serve the needs of all types of learners with the experience and training that we bring”.

The strategy behind the Eye Level education philosophy starts with seeing things from the student’s eye level. Eye Level is based on an educational principle where students learn at their own pace. When a teacher understands the learning needs of a student, the teaching are most effective. Individualized programs are created for each student, critical thinking is developed, and small steps to success are taken starting with the fundamentals.

The “Open House” event will be held on Saturday, January 21 from 10am to 3pm at the Eye Level of Oakridge Learning Center facilities located at 5680 Main St. (at 41st).
