A new book series has just been launched, with the release on Amazon of “Then Again”, a new short story featuring characters from the OUTCAST ANGELS book series, conceived and written by New Zealand author Michael Carney.
Here’s a brief introduction to the story:
It’s the last few minutes of Millennium Eve, December 31 1999. But whilst the rest of the world is celebrating, Outcast Angel Jesse and a ragtag bunch of genetically enhanced trainees are desperately trying to save a prominent Russian politician from an unknown assassin.
The crowd is counting down the last few seconds till the new millennium — and then suddenly everything changes. What just happened, will it happen again and is there anything that Jesse and his team can do to prevent the assassination?

Realms Of Our Own is a new model in Science-Fiction anthologies, inviting each author to contribute a single character to be shared by all, reinvented by each contributor for use in a completely different universe. Ten authors, ten universes, ten core characters, one collaborative effort.
The THEN AGAIN story is set in the fictional universe of the OUTCAST ANGELS, a group who had been part of the Great Rebellion against God and had been sent into exile as a consequence. However, several hundred of these angels subsequently repented and so hadnot joined Lucifer and his demon followers. This splinter group, who calledthemselves Outcast Angels, chose instead to stand against evil wherever theycould. The resulting guerrilla warfare, former angels againstangels-turned-demons, has continued over thousands of years.
