“I wanted to create a facility that’s more than your typical gym, but your one-stop-shop where you can complete your workout with one of our trainers and then recover in one of our countless recovery modalities,” says Kevin Masson, the owner of BioFit Performance, when asked about how they are different from a traditional gym or an exercise studio.
Most gyms ignore the recovery afterward, but BioFit is way more than a place to workout. It offers a number of ways for their clients to cool off and relax: Unwinding in their infrared sauna, stretch therapy, massage therapy, and contrast bath therapy, providing an endless amount of options to recover properly.
Classes last 55-minutes, and each one has a maximum of four members in a socially distanced setting. Clients get all the benefits of private training at the price of a large group session. Small class sizes ensure proper attention to each client and a successful workout. “One important aspect I wanted to incorporate in my gym was personalized attention. I wanted to give each client the same time and dedication they deserve. Clients get one on one time even in group classes,” states Masson. Masson’s Background and Fitness Expertise – BioFit Performance began when founder Kevin Masson retired from his pro-athlete career. He was working as a D1 college strength coach and wanted to bring the same care that pro-athletes receive to everyone. In 2017, the new construction of BioFit Performance’s facility was initiated with two simple goals. First, facilitate fitness and health experts to work together for their greater good of the client. Second, go against the current fitness trend and actually provide quality over quantity. After three long years of preparation, BioFit Performance finally opened its first free-standing building, an 11,000 sq/ft state of the art facility in Oviedo, FL with strong support so far from much anticipated local residents.
