Occupational Therapist and author Christel Seeberger details in her new eBook released today how parents can help children achieve success in handwriting. The book targets parents with school-age children who have difficulty with printing and cursive hand writing skills that may affect their success in school.
“If writing problems are affecting your child’s self-esteem and causing frustration at home and poor grades at school, you’ll find my new eBook helpful,” Ms. Seeberger stated. The eBook contains the same tips and techniques used by Occupational Therapists to help children master proper writing technique and improve both speed and readability.
This is not just another learn-to-write book, according to Ms. Seeberger. “We start with fine motor skill development, using step-by-step exercises that are focused on play. Your child will have so much fun, they won’t even know that learning is the goal!” she explained.
Although keyboarding has become a primary tool in the classroom, school-age children still spend a large part of their day using cursive writing and printing skills. Any child who struggles with handwriting may also have difficulties with other skills such as hand-eye coordination or sustaining attention.
“The truth is,” says Ms.Seeberger, “the sooner a child’s handwriting challenges are identified, the sooner parents can figure out if there are larger issues present and how best to address them.”
