This is the first book Gilreath has authored. The book was written with the aim in mind to educate kids on befriending simply because of appearance. There’s also particular excitement about this launch because it will be the author’s much anticipated first release in a series of 16 books.

Fuzzy & Spout sets its main focus on helping kids understand not to judge a book by its cover. The book’s cover art was created by Masha Samova and Fuzzy & Spout is being released by the author.

Angel Gilreath has a background as a Mother, Office Manager and Notary Public. This helped shaped the creation of the book while raising kids of her own and seeing the interaction between kids socially.

When asked about why they wrote the book, Gilreath said: “Kids can have these problems from Kindergarten up. I wanted to bring this to the attention of kids and help them learn what to do when this happens and how to overcome it. ”

Gilreath has hopes that the book will encourage kids not to judge a book by it’s cover. At one point the cover art had to be revamped to closely match the look and feel of the author’s kids stuffed animals because the wrong animals were .

In a recent interview, the author made a point of thanking Mia Redrick for their part in the creation of the book, saying: “without her, this book wouldn’t even be out! ”
