NAU Lumberjacks Football Student-Athlete NIL Community Donation Drive Announced

The Timber Jacks Group, a non-profit organization supporting Northern Arizona University Lumberjacks football student-athletes, has announced it is accepting donations for the 2024/2025 season.

-- The Timber Jacks Group helps NAU student-athletes use their name, image, and likeness (NIL) to enact positive change in Flagstaff and the neighboring communities. They do this by taking the public's contributions and using them to organize and promote charitable events and civic engagements that the student-athletes either support or participate in.

For the 2024/2025 season, donors can choose from five different amounts when contributing to the Timber Jacks Group — $100, $500, $1000, $2500, and $5000. If they prefer, they can also contribute a custom amount.

“When you donate to the Timber Jacks Group you’re creating a lasting impact on both Flagstaff and NAU,” explained a spokesperson for the organization. “Your contributions help improve the program and build championship football student-athletes.”

Throughout the year, the Timber Jacks Group oversees and assists with a wide range of events, many of which aim to positively influence the youth, support local businesses and organizations, and spread the Lumberjacks brand across the community. One of their biggest events is their NIL Fundraiser, which usually takes place around mid-May.

The Timber Jacks Group is led by former NAU Lumberjacks players and they serve as the organization’s Board of Directors, deciding where funds are allocated and which causes are supported.

As a competitor in the NCAA Division 1 Football Championship Subdivision and a member of the Big Sky Conference, NAU has appeared in the NCAA I-AA/FCS playoffs six times and won the conference title two times (1973 and 2003). Their record for the 2023/2024 season was 5-6, a mark they hope to improve in the 2024/2025 season with the help of Timber Jack Group donations.

“We want our football team to be not only one of the most respected squads on the field but also one of the most respected off of it,” said the spokesperson. “We ask anyone who shares in our vision to donate to the Timber Jacks Group today.”
