The idea for creating the online directory service came about after it was found out that tradespeople wanted more targeted marketing for their local businesses all around Australia.
The online local trade directory has been developed over the past several months with a team of developers, writers and trade technical experts contributing to its development to make sure that the platform was relevant and user-friendly to both Aussie consumers looking for trades services and the trades business that service them.

My Tradie Finder got it’s start when founder Nigel William noticed a growing need from customers to find reputable vetted tradespeople. Furthermore, it was also noticed that tradespeople have a need to find customers that want a the service that they specialise in. This can mean more competitive prices and better quality services for customers because the tradespeople they hire are specialists in providing that specific service. For example, customers want to hire a solar panel specialist electrician to install solar panels as they are specifically set up for and efficient in doing just that, rather than an electrician who may only do solar panel installation once in a while and who is not really set up to do that type of work.
With several years prior experience, Nigel William decided to go ahead and start My Tradie Finder in 2019.
