Whole House Mold Assessments and Limited Area Mold Assessments are designed to address the most common mold testing issues faced by real estate agents, property management companies, builders and homeowners when dealing with moldy properties. The service includes:
Certified lab results and report – Analysis includes a determination of whether spores present are indicative of mold growth or simply a mix of spores coming in from the outside (normal background mold). If mold growth is present, analysis includes identification to genus or group and a qualitative assessment of the amounts present. A general assessment of non-biological debris and other relevant commentary are also included.
Air and/or surface samples – Use of air-o-cell cassettes, tape lifts and swabs to capture mold spores to determine spore count, species and concentrations that are sent to a Certified lab for analysis as mentioned above.
Complete visual inspection – The inspection will look for moisture around plumbing fixtures, attics, crawl spaces or basements and anywhere else a problem may be present. As is sometimes the case with small leaks in plumbing in the wall cavities the moisture may not always be evident. In those circumstances the inspector may use additional tools such as a moisture meter, boroscope, or infrared camera to look to look for the moisture.
David Koerner, CEO of TampaBayMold.net, had this to say :
At TampaBayMold.net we use the latest technology to conduct a comprehensive mold inspection from limited area mold testing to a whole house approach. Most of our mold inspections are non-invasive (no holes). All inspections start with an interview followed by a walk-through so areas of concern can be identified. Communication is critical with our clients so we may answer any questions they may have and educate them on mold and how they can prevent it in the future.
