The recent history of the Internet has clearly been reshaped by social networking. We now have the “friends & family” network, (Facebook), and the “chat” network, (Twitter), as well as other “pic-sharing” networks, (namely Pinterest and Instagram). Despite the various social networks available, some small businesses are still be searching for a  social network designed specifically for entrepreneurs.

They are trying to determine how this kind of new social network could better meet their needs as online marketers.  Recent buzz on the Internet has been created surrounding a new social network called MarketHive. Markethive may have a number of features attractive to entrepreneurs that could meet their needs and expectations. MarketHive will open its doors during the first quarter of 2015. This new social network maybe the one that Internet Marketers, Online Entrepreneurs, and Small Businesses have been waiting for.

Markethive has developed over the last two years with an investment of over $500,000.00, (accordingto CEO Tom Prendergast), and is poised to become a next generation social network, designed from the ground up for small businesses on the Internet. This may be an idea whose time has come.

Small business owner John Lombaerde of Goldfinch Digital Publishing LLC says, “There are a number of features that an ideal social network for entrepreneurs should have.”

He states:

1) First of all the website must use a free membership model.

2) The website should be very easy to use. It should have controls similar to other social networks so that new members can easily navigate the site.

3) There should be a free autoresponder to communicate with other members.

4) Each member should be able to easily customize a profile page.

5) Groups are needed to socialize with like-minded people in the network.

6) Posts on the the social networkshould be easily shared with other social networks.

7) It would be advantageous to allow video posting to YouTube.

8) Ideally, the revenue model should be advertising-based.

“I have been searching for quite some time for this kind of social network, and from what I can see,MarketHive comes as close to an ideal social network for entrepreneurs as I have found.”

John Lombaerde has set-up a Slideshare presentation that addresses this idea of an Ideal Social Network for Entrepreneurs at:

MarketHive the social network for entrepreneurs to explain the concept of MarketHive. He can be reached at Goldfinch Digital Publishing, using the comment section, or by phone at 973-259-6055, with any additional questions.
