-- The National Buyers Agents Association has expanded to Maine, connecting local homebuyers with pre-screened, accredited agents who represent only the buyer from search to closing, helping simplify what is often a complex process.

In Maine’s competitive housing market, many buyers start with a simple goal: find the right home at the right price. That goal often gets complicated fast because first-time buyers face unfamiliar decisions, relocating families work on tight timelines, and retirees weigh lifestyle needs alongside finances. Rather than leaving buyers to sort through agents on their own, the association matches them with professionals whose role is to protect the buyer’s interests throughout the transaction.
Once matched, each agent serves as the buyer’s advocate, negotiator, representative, and source of guidance. Before joining the network, every agent is evaluated for core qualities that directly affect the buying experience, including listening ability, negotiation skill, education, and practical experience. The goal is to ensure that buyers are connected only with professionals who have demonstrated both competence and a clear commitment to client-first representation.
The association reinforces that standard with ongoing accountability. Member agents must agree in writing to uphold professional standards and ethical requirements, and those who fail to meet them are removed from the network. That structure gives buyers added confidence that the agents they are considering have passed a consistent and verified screening process.
“Our association gives homebuyers direct access to top-quality buyer’s agents who are committed to securing the best price and terms on their behalf,” a National Buyers Agents Association representative said. “We offer at least two vetted agent choices per inquiry, and our full-time staff follows up seven days a week to ensure every buyer finds the right fit for their specific needs.”
The association also provides educational materials to help buyers make informed decisions, including state-by-state market trend videos, blogs, podcasts, and weekly radio show summaries. At the local level, member agents can also connect clients with trusted professionals such as lenders, inspectors, and title specialists, helping transactions move forward with greater clarity and coordination. For many buyers, that guidance continues after closing, with help on questions related to property taxes, maintenance, and local services.
Although this effort now highlights Maine, the association operates in all 50 states and supports buyers pursuing single-family homes, condos, multi-family properties, and investment purchases. With every inquiry, buyers receive at least two vetted agent recommendations, giving them a meaningful opportunity to compare options and choose the professional best suited to their goals.
