-- The McKinley Beach master planned community in Kelowna, BC has grown in leaps and bounds over the past several years. While the original launch included a number of lake view lots in the ‘Hillside’ community, the development has seen recent additions of the Mezzo Townhome community, Forest Hills Smart-Sized Homes, and the new vineyard and winery that are still under construction. Luxury lakefront lots were launched in 2019 for those wanting to live on the water. With an increase in interest in small homes that maximize the living space, it’s not surprising that a little house community is next on the agenda at McKinley Beach.
First announced in early 2019, the Little House Community, ‘LIV’ is undertaken by the Little House Contracting Corp; a micro home building contractor located in the Okanagan Valley.
According to the company website their goal is to, “Help Canadians realize their little house dreams by facilitating full service planning and builds for those who desire luxuriously designed, environmentally conscious, exceptionally priced homes.”

The new Kelowna community will feature 20 detached 2-3 bedroom homes, each with approximately 1100-1250 sq ft of intentionally designed living space.

4 Scandinavian style home plans to choose from.
Small detached homes offer an affordable alternative to townhomes and condominiums, provide a reduced carbon footprint, and a lower cost of living.
With McKinley Beach being Kelowna’s only master planned lakefront community, the Little House Community will have access to all the amenities of the area including an extensive beachfront, hiking and biking trails, and stunning views of the lake and valley.
