-- On March 22, 2025, during the NSI Caricom MasterClass Graduation Dinner at the Ramada Princess Hotel in Georgetown, Guyana, Lexann McPhoy, Managing Director of NSI Guyana and CEO of Lexann’s Nail Creations, was honored with the prestigious Silver NSI Nail Technician Educator Certificate. This accolade highlights not only her skills, but her exceptional contributions to promoting eco-friendly, MMA-free and HEMA-free nail salon products and practices throughout the Caribbean.
The evening celebrated the achievements of twenty-three women from seven of Guyana's ten administrative regions who completed rigorous training in the use of NSI's sustainable nail products. Amidst this celebration, Lexann was surprised with the Silver Educator Certificate by NSI Global Educator Darlene Tewitz from Canada. Since October 2019, Lexann has been dedicated to educating nail technicians based on NSI international best practices, on the benefits and application of eco-friendly MMA-free and HEMA-free products. Her commitment has elevated nail care standards and empowered numerous women to adopt healthier salon practices. Notably, some of Lexann's nail art has been featured in NSI's new product developments, underscoring her influence in the industry.
During the presentation, Darlene Tewitz commended Lexann's growth as an educator and her significant contributions to the Caribbean nail salon industry. Echoing these sentiments, fellow Global Educator Katia Da Silva from South Africa praised the supportive community Lexann has cultivated among nail technicians.
Expressing her gratitude, Lexann acknowledged the support of Isabel Fisher, Vice President of NSI, along with Darlene and Katia, throughout her journey. She pledged to continue her mission to empower nail technicians, emphasizing the importance of health-conscious and sustainable practices in the beauty industry.
