Legacy Education Corporation has been awarded a 2022 California Association of Private Post-secondary Schools (CAPPS) Excellence in Community Service Award. Legacy Ed was honored to receive the 2nd place Silver award in the Large Schools category. The award was given on April 29, 2022.

LeeAnn Rohmann, President and CEO of Legacy Education Corporation, was excited to announce the award. “Legacy Education prides itself on providing career education opportunities to prepare our students not only for the careers they desire, but to be of service to their communities in whichever path they choose. We incorporate an ethos of community service throughout our teachings, and we work hard to give back to the communities we call home. We couldn’t be more proud to receive this distinguished award from CAPPS.”

The CAPPS Excellence in Community Service Awards were inaugurated in 2016 to recognize CAPPS Member Schools that have demonstrated exceptional commitment to their local community. CAPPS gives the awards in two categories: Large Schools (4+ locations) and Small Schools (1-3). The Excellence in Community Service Awards recognize and encourage initiatives in community service, service learning, and civic engagement that have a significant impact on the communities served by member schools.

CAPPS, the California Association of Private Post-secondary Schools, is an association with a membership of more than 300 institutions; including both for-profit and non-profit institutions which are nationally or regionally accredited or approved by the State of California’s Regulatory Agency – the Bureau of Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE) – to offer educational services. The CAPPS mission is to serve the private postsecondary education sector in California, by advocating for the interests of members and students, enhancing and promoting the image of the sector, communicating State and National issues, and providing professional development opportunities for the sector.

Legacy Education Corporation has 3 schools across five campuses: High Desert Medical College in Temecula, Lancaster, and Bakersfield, California; Integrity College of Health in Pasadena, California; and Central Coast College in Salinas, California.
