Las Vegas College has announced they will begin offering a new diploma program for Practical Nurses. Located in Las Vegas, Nevada, LVC offers training programs for careers including Medical Assistant, Medical Insurance Billing and Coding, and Nursing.

Las Vegas College specializes in training students for professional certification for in-demand careers. The new program offering for Practical Nurses will add to Las Vegas College’s profile of programs that cater to students motivated to quickly enter their careers in entry-level positions.

The new Practical Nurse program at LVC is scheduled to begin its first class in July 2020 and can be completed in as few as 15 months. At LVC, students learn to perform many important procedures, including how to measure and record vital signs, administer medications and injections, start and monitor IVs, collect laboratory specimens, record information in electronic health records, work with RNs in the care of acutely ill patients, and assist older adults with activities of daily living. Students also develop the communication and interpersonal skills that are necessary for patient care. LVC’s program provides hands-on training from experienced, professional faculty, and classes are limited in size so that students receive personalized attention and support. Upon completion of the Practical Nursing program, students are prepared to sit for the NCLEX-PN licensure examination by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN).
