-- LAS VEGAS, NV – Grandmaster Manuel Taningco launched Kali America as a premier global online Filipino Kali training resource at the Century Martial Arts SuperShow held at the Bellagio Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas, NV. The Century Martial Arts SuperShow featured hundreds of vendor booths, martial arts school owners, martial arts practitioners, speakers, and enthusiasts from across the USA, Canada, Australia, and other countries. World-renowned martial arts legends, including Dan Inosanto, Bill Wallace, Benny Urquidez, and Carlos Machado, gave seminars on the business aspects of martial arts as well as technical seminars on self-defense. At the opening ceremony, Frank Silverman, an executive for Century Martial Arts, and Mike Dillard, CEO of Century Martial Arts, hosted a general session that featured special guest, Chuck Norris. Century Martial Arts also presented Lifetime Achievement Awards to both Leo Gaje, Jr. and Dan Inosanto in the Bellagio’s Grand Ballroom.
Kali America is the vision of Grandmaster Taningco, inspired by his family’s Filipino Kali heritage. “Many people have expressed an interest in Kali Filipino Kali online training,” said Taningco. “Kali America has been in the making for over 5 years, and I’m happy to be debuting it here at the Century Martial Arts SuperShow.” The official launch date for the website (kaliamerica.com) is scheduled for late August, but one can get on the mailing list to receive updates for the online program and upcoming live seminar locations and dates. Along with his family Filipino Kali heritage, the Kali America program also includes the influence that Taningco has received over his 56 years of compiled FMA knowledge from notable experts like Dan Inosanto (FMA/Jeet Kune Do), Leo Gaje (Pekiti Tirsia), Remy Presas (Modern Arnis), and Cocoy and Dionisio Canete (Doce Pares). Taningco has been teaching in Dayton, Ohio since 1974. He has studied numerous martial arts and has black belts in five other martial art styles.
