Juno Pediatrics’s first responsibility is to establish trust between the child’s parents and the pediatric team, led by Dr. Danis Copenhaver and Dr. Chris Yun. Dr. Copenhaver believes it’s important to listen to parents, communicate in an open and honest way, demonstrate caring, and provide the highest quality pediatric care to her patients.

Subsequent well-baby checkups during the next twelve months will measure a baby’s physical and emotional growth and the pediatricians will guide the parents through their child’s development. At the beginning of every check-up, the baby’s length (or height), weight, blood pressure, and other vital signs measurements will be taken and documented. Juno Medical pediatricians will also perform a full physical examination and complete all other recommended screenings. Parents, as always, will have ample opportunity to discuss their baby’s progress and any questions or concerns.
One of the many issues that often concern parents is vaccination. Newborns, infants, and toddlers will receive vaccines to be protected against serious bacterial and viral diseases throughout their earliest years. Juno Pediatrics encourages parents to voice any concerns about vaccinations with their Harlem or Brooklyn-based pediatrician.
Convenient access for sick-child consultations and pediatric urgent care services is also available. Additionally, both Dr. Copenhaver and Dr. Yun can advise on growth and nutrition practices, and treat a range of conditions, including cold & flu, minor injuries, and ADHD.
