Brevard, NC nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains known locally as the Land of Waterfalls is a destination location where people are gravitating to for its rich culture, friendly residents, and the amazing natural outdoor amenities. Many first timers to Brevard are summer campers or camp counselors who come for several weeks at a time to take the area by storm utilizing the amazing amenities such as Pisgah National Forest, and DuPont State Forest. Pisgah Forest is home to the always popular Sliding Rock as well as the Cradle of Forestry where forest management education began in 1898. People are drawn to the Blue Ridge Mountains for many reasons and in no small part do the landscapes and scenery play in that decision.

Brevard is also home to Brevard Music Center where several hundred musicians descend each summer to hone their craft and preform for local and visiting patrons. Brevard Music Center is also where the annual Mountain Song Festival is held which is hosted by the Grammy Award winning Steep Canyon Rangers.
