Pinellas Park, FL – August 7, 2020 — As part of Gulfcoast Eye Care’s ongoing commitment to experience-driven, patient-first care, the practice announced that Lydia Luther, O.D., will be joining their Pinellas Park, FL staff in early August. With her help, the team at Pinellas Park will be able to treat more patients without sacrificing on the quality of their care or patient experience.
“We’ve been looking forward to working with Dr. Luther ever since we first met her,” said Gulfcoast Eye Care’s leading eye surgeon, Michael H. Manning, M.D., F.A.C.S. “She has the drive we look for in our team members. Not just to provide outstanding eye care, but to take the time with each of our patients to ensure that they get the care they deserve.”
Dr. Luther knew from a young age she wanted to enter medicine, and shadowed many healthcare providers while in undergrad at Mississippi State University. But once she got to experience a toddler putting on glasses for the first time, she knew that eye care was her calling.
Both during and since earning her Doctorate at the Southern College of Optometry, Dr. Luther has provided eye exams, eyewear, and a range of treatments for eye diseases in a variety of settings, including private practices, hospitals, and nursing homes. From these experiences, and from her involvement in her tight-knit community growing up, she’s become an dedicated, compassionate eye care provider with an aptitude for meeting the diverse needs of patients of all ages and backgrounds, from young professionals to veterans.

Dr. Luther specializes in primary eye care throughout a patient’s life, myopia control in children, and dry eye treatment. She will begin seeing patients on August 7th.
