With the new announcement, farmers purchasing the devices will also be able to take advantage of the company’s technical expertise should they require further customization. According to the company, its services are not limited to sales, as it can also help users pull data from the device, which can be used for additional analysis.
Edelman Automation carries the DICKEY-john GAC 2500-UGMA Grain Analysis Computer, a moisture sensor certified by the Grain Inspection, Packers and Stockyards Administration. The device uses the latest 149 MHz technology, which means that it can deliver fast results while adhering to the standards and parameters set by the agency.
The system also comes standard with National Type Evaluation Program calibrations for different grain and nut varieties. Moreover, its touch screen and intuitive operating system make it easy to operate, even by non-technical users.
The company also offers the lower-priced DICKEY-john GAC 2500-AGRI Grain Analysis Computer, which is capable of storing up to 3,000 measurement results. This device offers the same high level of sensing capabilities, allowing users to measure grains in varying temperatures.
It features the same easy-to-use control panel, in addition to USB ports for software upgrades and peripherals like keyboards.
“Some dryers have moisture sensors but they are not nearly as accurate for several reasons,” a company spokesperson stated, adding that DICKEY-john sensors have become the preferred systems of cooperatives, as they meet both state and federal criteria.
Edelman Automation’s technical skills further add to the already robust capability of the machines. There have been many cases where it was tasked to extract grain measurement data to assist in decision-making.
Owing to this level of support, the company has been lauded online by many customers. “Five Stars! Helped save me a lot of money and get rid of a lot of old systems that were not working anymore,” said one reviewer on Google. “I have worked with Trever and Chuck on an automation project and they were great to work with,” wrote another.
