Matrix Home Health Care Specialists has increased its capacity to provide trusted quality care for seniors with its December 2017 purchase of Grace Homes. The Walnut Lodge facility owned by Matrix will now take on the Grace Homes name, which is known and respected in the Twin Cities area.
Meanwhile, the private residential senior care homes owned by Grace Homes will expand the services they offer. Previously, Grace Homes only offered professional support for senior residents with memory loss and cognitive decline. Now, all Grace Homes locations can accommodate seniors living with chronic illness, as well.
“Grace Homes won’t just be for memory care residents anymore,” explains Karen Lawrence, RN, Owner of Matrix Home Health Care Specialists. “We’ve been providing care for a wide range of chronic illnesses for years at Walnut Lodge,” says Lawrence. “Merging these two residential care companies allows us to provide expanded services to the growing number of seniors Matrix serves.”
Both Grace Homes are located in Hopkins, Minnesota. Oakridge is a 9-bedroom rambling residence set on an acre lot, nestled in a quiet residential neighborhood, and surrounded by mature pine trees. Next door is Wilshire Walk, a 5-bedroom residence.
Matrix has undertaken a comprehensive renovation project on the Oakridge residence. The senior residential care home will be updated and modernized to match the services offered by the Walnut Lodge residential home care facility Matrix owns and runs in Burnsville.
The three residences now carry the Grace Homes name. Each features a home-like family environment that allows residents to lead active and independent lives, knowing that on-site health care and personal assistance is there when they need it. There are private and shared rooms, where residents benefit from personalized care plans which include daily activities and exercise. Nutritious, home-cooked meals are prepared on-site, tailored for each resident’s special dietary needs.
All three Grace Homes residences will be staffed exclusively by members of Matrix Home Health Care Specialists.
Over 1 million Americans live in a senior living community such as the Grace Homes residences owned by Matrix Home Health Care Specialists. This number is expected to double by the year 2030. Senior residential care homes promote independence while offering the chance to remain socially active. These facilities ease the burden of family caregivers. The senior residents enjoy easy living with access to skilled nursing or rehabilitative care as they need it.
