Her leadership and innovations have earned her numerous awards, including an Innovation Creation & Excellence (ICE) Award, SIPG Team Award, a Customer Impact Award, and an Overall Excellence Award from the vice president of AMD. These innovations continue to influence the direction of FPGA development across the industry.

Tummala's educational foundation was built at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University and the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur.
