GearBubble is a free e-commerce and crowdfunding platform, led by Don Wilson, helping charities, fundraisers, artists, designers and start-ups create and sell personalized merchandise online. The products available to be customized include phone cases, mugs, hats, beanies, t-shirts, sweatshirts or hoodies. In just under three months, GearBubble raised $250,000 seed capital from international investors and generated multiple millions in sales from tens of thousands of national and international sellers launching their custom merchandise campaigns.
To launch a campaign with GearBubble, the charities or artists are simply asked to submit the design they want printed on the merchandise and set a price for each product. GearBubble’s team handles the production and distribution of the merchandise as well as the customer support. The company’s in-house team can also help the charities co-create or tweak the design and market the products.
The charities or artists’ customized merchandise is sold through GearBubble’s webstore to national and international customers that can have the products shipped to them and look up or track the status of their orders online. The charities and artists can also track the sales performance of their custom merchandise through GearBubble’s webstore and withdraw their profits at the end of each campaign.
