Freskos got it's start in 2016 when founder Peter Vouras felt there was a need for authentic Greek food in the area. Basing it on the fast-casual dining spots he frequented in Athens and the Greek Islands, Vouras dug in and created this amazing place.
While every business, of course, faces challenges, some, like Freskos are fortunate enough to enjoy real success and victories too; victories such as winning Best Greek Restaurant in Connecticut Magazine's Reader's Poll three year in a row..
Founder Peter Vouras says, "The idea is to treat every customer as if they are family and to practice filotimo which is a Greek ideal of 'paying it forward'. It is also a delight it be celebrating this occasion on March 25th, Greek Independence Day, which marks the establishment of the modern Greek state.
Freskos currently consists of eight employees and has big plans for the upcoming year. One of their core objectives is to continue to be successful for the next ten years! There are plans to expand and open other locations and bring the experience of Freskos to other areas of Connecticut.
Freskos food truck brings the taste of Greek to customers as well. In residence at the Hartford Healthcare Amphitheater in Bridgeport all summer, Freskos Food truck provides a great healthy alternative regular festival fare. The truck is also available for rent.
Freskos would like to, once again, thank everyone who has been here before and invites all those who haven't to come and enjoy a great meal in a great atmosphere.
