There’s one guy right now who knows what it’s like to be on the receiving end of national attention for a major social and political issue, and no, it’s not Barack Obama. It’s just an average guy. His name is Tuffy Gessling. A professional rodeo clown. Well, actually, he used to be. —
A few weeks ago, Tuffy participated in a rodeo event in Missouri. He never could have imagined the wrecking ball swung in his direction as a result of his act. He wore an Obama mask during his event and he has since become center stage in this nation’s struggle to solve its racial divide. Tuffy is now referred to as the Obama rodeo clown.
Gessling has since lost his job, been permanently banned from the rodeo association and is now spending his time making the circuit. Not the rodeo circuit, the media circuit.
Fortunately good, caring and rational people have come to his defense. Thousands of visitors have flocked to Facebook pages set up to support Tuffy and there is now a new website to help out in that effort.
SaveTheClowns.com was recently constructed to bring attention to Tuffy Gessling’s plight; however it also addresses the much larger issue of supporting the nation’s First Amendment protections afforded to it's citizens under the Bill of Rights.
