-- Cash-strapped families can add an extra $100 a month to the family coffers by taking advantage of bonus paying apps, a personal finance expert has revealed.
Andrew Herrig, from personal finance blog Wealthy Nickel, has unveiled the top 23 highest paying bonus apps to help families who are feeling the pinch add a few extra dollars to their monthly income, just using their smart phone.
Former financial analyst and accountant Andrew set up Wealthy Nickel in a bid to help people fight debt, consumerism and guide people towards financial freedom. The 23 highest paying bonus apps is just one of a series of top tips Andrew has published.
“While no-one is going to replace their day jobs with these sign-up bonuses, $100 could feed a family for a couple of weeks,” he said.
The bonus apps featured in the Wealthy Nickel top tips include Swagbucks, which give people a $5 sign up bonus, Ibotta, which gives up to $20 sign up and cash back when buying groceries and Rakuten, which pays people for buying things they were going to buy anyway.
Survey Junkie is the highest paying survey app around at the moment. Some surveys can pay up to $50, but realistically most people are getting around $5 to $10 per hour, which is easy to do from the sofa while watching Netflix.
Another recommendation is credit card bonuses and cash back. Many credit cards offer hefty sign up bonuses, including Chase Sapphire Preferred, which is currently offering the $750 in travel points.
Andrew said that in his assessment of the apps for Wealth Nickel people made the most money on Survey Junkie and Swagbucks, but Rakuten, Ibotta and Pei offered the best sign-up bonuses, which gave very nice quick cash boosts just for downloading the app.
Andrew said: “These are just a few ways to make money online. There are so many other different opportunities, side hustles and passive income streams that people can use to make some extra cash if they need to move it beyond the $100 mark.”
