Cataract surgery, another specialty of the practice, addresses the most common ocular condition experienced by aging adults. Patients with cataracts usually experience cloudy vision, difficulty reading, sensitivity to light, and declining night vision, especially when driving. If left untreated, the eye lens continues to degenerate, resulting in severe or even complete vision loss.
PCVI offers several new lens options for patients undergoing cataract surgery including the Light Adjustable Lens™ from RxSight®. This is the first and only adjustable lens that can be fine-tuned to each patient's vision. This level of customization is performed through a series of brief light treatments using macromer technology after the new lens has been inserted, so patients can test their vision between treatments and return to have it adjusted.
