Email Verification API, https://emailverification.whoisxmlapi.com, a subsidiary of California-based WHOIS API, Inc. and online email validation tool to verify existence, validity and quality of addresses, announced it is now offering bulk email verification functionality. Through the bulk processing interface found at https://emailverification.whoisxmlapi.com/bulk-api, users are walked through a step-by-step process for understanding data source requirements and rules, with such considerations as type, file size, number of emails, result storing and cost taken into account.
“In email marketing, it is vital that the emails personnel send are verified, validated and received by customers – and that’s what we’re all about at Email Verification API,” explains Kevin Francois of WHOIS API, Inc. “One of the most common causes of bounced emails is the sending to unverified addresses; in fact, email campaign providers may choose to close business accounts when emails regularly bounce. We’re talking this to the next level with our bulk email application, which is extremely important for a multitude of reasons, starting with the fact that this indispensable tool for companies sending mass emails determines whether or not a list of addresses is fully valid and deliverable.
“This process involves an address-by-address analysis of each email on an uploaded list, and is usually offered as a hosted software feature. I am very excited to be launching this bulk email verification functionality to our cherished clients.”
Through a combination of validation techniques and – depending on the internal database – proprietary algorithms, the legitimacy of an email address can be measured, with any invalid addresses having been filtered out at the end of the list validation process. This leaves, according to Email Verification API representatives, a clean, fully deliverable email list, ready for marketing and business requirements.
Data source requirements and rules as requested by Email Verification API’s online interface ask that the source file be a valid CSV (comma-separated values) type, the maximum file size be five (5) MB and the maximum number of emails be limited to 50,000. The result is stored for seven days with a cost of one credit per email.
