London : Los Angeles (LO:LA) has been named one of the Top 10 Brand Management Firms of 2024 by MarTech Outlook, in recognition of its standout work in brand strategy, storytelling, and creative leadership.

-- MarTech Outlook recently recognized LO:LA's capacity to guide brand leaders through pivotal strategic moments with a bold, purpose-first approach rooted in storytelling and insight, and focused on their ‘why’ rather than the ‘how’ or ‘what.’

MarTech Outlook highlighted LO:LA’s proprietary “Brand In A Box” method as a standout in creative conceptualizing. The four-phase approach begins with custom target personas designed to establish a shared understanding of messaging possibilities, which are then tested, refined for clarity, and translated into brand story, visual identity, and rollout. This approach has helped reposition a number of brands for growth and relevance in saturated markets.

“This recognition is a reflection of the incredible strategic and creative talent across our team,” said Nicholas Platt, CEO of LO:LA. “For all our clients, we reexamine the core ‘why’ of their brand, providing a radical interpretation that directly communicates their value proposition to consumers. In a world of noise, clarity is the ultimate advantage.”

In their profile, MarTech Outlook notes that while many companies focus on short-term promotional tactics and fragmented messaging strategies, LO:LA works to create a coherent narrative within a messaging continuum, “propelling a brand into its ‘next chapter moment.”

Recent work at LO:LA includes the repositioning of San Francisco’s Hotel Nikko, the rebranding of a regional billion-dollar credit union, and launch support for a direct-to-consumer at-home blood testing startup.

LO:LA’s inclusion in the MarTech Outlook list complements a growing number of creative honors. The agency took home 2 Gold, 2 Silver, and 1 Bronze at the 2024 Transform Awards, and previously earned 13 American Advertising Awards (ADDYs) in 2018. It was also named an Official Honoree by the Webby Awards and received two Champion BIG Awards for Best Use of Packaging and Best Strategy or Creative Development of a New Brand.

Looking ahead, LO:LA is planning product launches in both London and Los Angeles—an initiative designed to support British brands entering the U.S. market and U.S. brands establishing a stronger presence in the U.K. This cross-market strategy draws on Platt’s 15 years of experience in the U.S., alongside the expertise of partner Adrian Watman and the U.K. team. The expansion aims to strengthen LO:LA’s international position as a go-to agency for bold, creative brand strategy and execution.
