-- Talkin Adventures, the activity site of outdoor activity providers Independent Adventure Ltd, based in Cumbria, have launched updates to their services. The company is currently able to offer adventure activities for small groups from families, schools and youth groups which are really convenient for people living or staying in the Eden valley and Penrith.
More details of the extended range of outdoor family activities can be found at https://www.independentadventure.co.uk/talkin-adventures-cumbria
The newly updated services offer families and groups in the Eden Valley and Penrith area outdoor adventure activities as an alternative to overcrowded Lake District locations.
Founded in 2011, Independent Adventure initially provided event entertainment in the Lake District, travelling from place to place from their base near Carlisle. As the company grew, the team did too, taking their outdoor entertainment, event planning and management services further afield. Latterly, they were able to take over the running of outdoor activities at Talkin Tarn and that venue is now affectionately known as Talkin Adventures.
Outdoor activities for families and small groups at Talkin Tarn now include group packages for archery, raft building, kayaking, canoeing, stand up paddleboarding and more. The company’s directors are hopeful that these services which are popular with school, family and youth groups, will soon be available again for hen weekends, stag parties, and for corporate team building events again. When the pandemic restrictions finally lift, the Talking Adventures and Independent Adventure teams will be looking forward to bringing people out into nature to experience adventure like never before.
Independent Adventure also provides a variety of experience and training packages, such as stand up paddle boarding, archery and kayaking. Each package is tailored to the needs of the event, and can be adapted to be suitable for any age group.
The company’s services are complemented by excellent on-site facilities at the Talkin Tarn venue. It is a pretty unique setting on the northern edge of Cumbria, a kettle hole lake that is around 10,000 years old, under the presence of the Pennines’ most northerly fells. The current site includes a cafe and tea rooms offering handmade cakes, showers and changing rooms to accommodate watersports, muddy activities, and there’s a wheelchair friendly footpath.
Unique event activities will also soon be on offer again to suit any occasion, suitable for weddings and parties, no matter the celebration. Past events include archery at weddings, school holiday adventure camps and team raft building for corporate groups.
With the latest announcement, Independent Adventure Ltd continues to invest in providing accessible, quality event activities for families and groups in the Cumbria area and across the northwest corner of the UK.
A satisfied customer said: “Darren and Chris delivered some amazing archery lessons to our Y5 children as part of our sports week at Belle Vue Primary school. Each session was excellent and made accessible for every single child to take part.”
