Back To Front Chiropractic, a leading Brisbane Chiropractic practice, is proud to announce that its founder, Travis West, has just completed filming (February 2018) an internal training program he created for Sleepy’s, a major mattress retailer in Australia. Travis is well known for his high quality, patient first approach to treating pain, postural issues, and ailments. Based on Travis’s patient first philosophy the training program provides Sleepy’s staff members the skills, once they are accredited, to identify a person’s specific needs and then matching those needs to the best mattress. The result – a happier outcome is more likely for all parties.

East Brisbane chiropractor Travis West has been a regular presenter to Sleepy’s franchise owners, store managers, and corporate staff on the importance of posture and sleep health at Sleepy’s annual conferences. This has developed into an ongoing role with Sleepy’s as an expert consultant in customer physical assessment and helping staff match every individual to the best possible mattress.
The crown jewel in this relationship has seen Travis develop this special training program designed to make Sleepy’s staff proficient in assessing individual body types, common postural issues, and a variety of physical ailments that can affect sleep. Staff will be able to match these presentations to a mattress and offer customers the best service.
Travis loves the concept, stating: “By assessing and identifying a person’s specific needs and then matching those needs to the best mattress a happier outcome is more likely for all parties. We also want people to understand that sleep health is just as important as having good nutrition, water intake and regular exercise.”
Already known as “The Mattress Experts”, with the training program developed by Travis and its formal assessment component that must be successfully completed, Sleepy’s staff members will now be given full accreditation as a Sleepy’s Assessment Consultant.
Travis West, of Back To Front Chiropractic, added: “Helping a company like Sleepy’s put the person first rather than the product will massively help both the sales team and consumer get the right mattress first time.”
Some of the common postural issues that can affect sleep include sway back (compression of the lower back), rounded /hunched shoulders and neck posture with the head shifting forward of centre of gravity. Some of the common physical ailments include restless leg syndrome, wry neck, lumbar disc bulge, pregnancy, migraines/headaches, bursitis, whiplash, sprains and strains and many more.
Travis is an expert chiropractor in the local area and has developed a reputation for high quality chiropractic care that treats the whole person rather than the symptoms. Back To Front Chiropractic provide treatment protocols and management for a range of conditions for both chronic and acute pain and injuries.
