The launch of his updated program for social entrepreneurs coincides with a recent article published in Science Direct. The research, which compiled an extensive array of studies, suggested that divergent thinking skills, problem-solving ability, and creative performance are not at a fixed point, but rather can all be enhanced through focused creative problem-solving training.
Steven Wright is similarly confident that the problem with problems is simply the way that people frame them. As such, in his course, he teaches participants how to develop and refine their problem statement. This exercise in perspective encourages people to reframe and reconsider their initial problem until they arrive at the problem that really matters, or, what Wright calls, the better problem to solve.
Macadamia Solutions understands that social entrepreneurs are actively and constantly involved in the process of solving problems. However, they also believe that finding the problem to solve that will lead to meaningful change and progress is not always self-evident.
