Creating A New Oasis In Asbury Park

Oasis Home is announced its Grand Reopening of a newer location in downtown Asbury Park on June 17th.

Oasis Home, the retail boutique and studio of NLM Design Interiors, is looking forward to its Grand Reopening at its new location in downtown Asbury Park on June 17th.

Located at 627 Cookman Avenue, the furnishings shop will be open every weekend and by appointment during the week, with extended hours over the summer.

Nancy Mikulich, the owner and founder of NLM Design Interiors, is a seasoned and credentialed designer who has been providing full-service interior design to her clients throughout New Jersey for over 10 years.

Stop in to Oasis Home and Nancy will be showcasing a carefully curated selection of home furnishings, accessories, fine gifts and other home and lifestyle items. Items for sale will be ‘scaled’ to accommodate both home size and budgets, whether shopping for something to brighten up a primary residence or add a touch more luxury to a retreat on the shore, customers are always delighted with what they discover.

“We’ve been expanding and growing alongside Asbury Park,” said Nancy. “After three years on Bangs Avenue, we’ve taken this new location, where Paranormal used to be, and transformed it. We’re presenting you with an airy, beach-y, sophisticated loft design–it’s a little Malibu, a little Tribeca and all Asbury Park. We’re thrilled with our move to Cookman Avenue and have a distinctive assortment of furnishings, accessories, fabric, wall coverings and gifts hand-picked for the Jersey Shore and Asbury Park. There is so much activity and excitement here, and we are looking forward to contributing to and feeding off of this vivacious setting.”

Design influences and the vibe of Oasis Home will be a tastefully eclectic blend of coastal chic and urban aesthetic. What else would one expect from a designer who lived on the California coast for 15 years after working and performing in the NYC music scene?

Most importantly, Nancy wants this new location to present more than a store. Oasis Home will be a design salon, offering custom service and custom furnishings at affordable pricing.

“We now have a dedicated Design Studio where visitors and clients can come to meet our team and make specific selections. We have an extensive library and carry a large variety of furniture lines directly to the client. For customers looking to remodel their kitchen or bathroom, we have samples of products to review and consider for your project. It’s a whole new world of creative materials, colors and textures.”

Nancy’s passion is to help each client make appropriate final selections; creating truly one-of-a-kind designs.

“My staff and I are trained to develop the design concept and, encompassing both material aesthetics and functionality,” she said. “We interpret what’s in a client’s heart and mind, bringing their vision to life. Each project is approached as a collaboration with the client. We don’t impose our own ideas. Our work is about coming together as a team to create each unique space.”

NLM Design Interiors and Oasis Home projects range from full service residential design and furnishings to commercial projects. Nancy Mikulich has been a featured designer in Design NJ, HGTV Portfolios, Houzz and several designer show houses, most recently including Mansion in May, Giving Tables and Stately Homes by the Sea.
