A popular local venue temporarily paused until permit issues resolved
JOSHUA TREE, CALIFORNIA MAY 2023 Local rock climbing business Cliffhanger Guides announced today that they will host a Fundraising event on Saturday, May 27, 2023, for beloved local nonprofit Furstwurld, an art and music venue in Joshua Tree, created by artist Bobby Furst. Furstwurld voluntarily canceled all upcoming events and performances after a code violation complaint about ticketing was levied against them in March. The goal is to raise funds to help Furstwurld become fully compliant with county requirements in order to resume its creative programming and service to the community.
Furstwurld is a limited-capacity nonprofit community venue in the high desert of Joshua Tree.
Mission Statement: Furstwurld is dedicated to working in partnership with the community and like-minded organizations to strengthen awareness, accessibility, and deeper appreciation of art, ideas, and cultures.
Vision Statement: To provide a venue in the high desert community of Joshua Tree, CA that offers ongoing creative programming in the arts to celebrate the richness of the region. The overarching goal is to be a creative space that presents innovative performances, exhibitions, educational programs, and mentoring opportunities to the greater community.
“Furstwurld Problems/Furstwurld $olutions” will be held at THE Annex at Saint Rock Meeting Room Flamingo Heights on Saturday, May 27 from 4-10 pm. The event will consist of live music, performance, and the biggest and most prestigious art auction the Morongo Basin has ever seen.
Musical guests include Parker, Los Poncho Tones, John Curry, Robbi Robb, Rosa Pullman, and Daveed and Machin’. Artists—whose work will be auctioned off—include Randy Polumbo, Colleena Hake, Bret Philpot, Diane Best, Shrine, Ben Allanoff, Bill Green, Emmy Silver, Kime Buzzelli, Wendy Lee Gadzuk and many more.

Admission is sliding scale $30-$50. Additionally, a Venmo account—@Furstwurldsolutions—has been set up for those who wish to make a donation to FURSTWURLD, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
