Barbara Burgess (COO and Chief Vision Realization Officer of the Wright Foundation) and her team of Chicago area life coaches will be leading a Personality Style Profile evening event on Thursday, April 5th from 6-8 PM at the Wright Foundation building (445 E. Ohio St., STE 340). Through this free, interactive, two-hour session, participants will have the opportunity to take a “Personality Profile Quiz” to learn their style, will experience activities that lead them to better maximize the pros and cons of their personalities, and will learn to relate better to people with different personality styles. There will also be time to network with other Chicago-area professionals in the beginning and end of the event.

Dr. Bob Wright (CEO of the Wright Foundation and Co-founder and Professor of Transformational Leadership for the Wright Graduate University, Career Coach in Chicago) originally developed the CARE Profile as an assessment tool for teaching the fundamentals of social intelligence to salon professionals and has expanded the curriculum for social and emotional intelligence trainings in companies and with professionals. Studies show that working with social and emotional intelligence is vital when it comes to leadership and success. Building your own understanding of other people’s personality styles is a component of social and emotional intelligence.

You may have taken one of the many assessments available (Myers-Briggs, DISC profile, Personality colors, etc.) and gotten a label to describe you, but you probably didn’t get much information about how your personality profile can also be leveraged in building stronger relationships. Using the CARE profile as an assessment tool helps pinpoint emotional intelligence areas of comfort and growth for each personality type, to create strategies to build rapport with others in a manner that is conducive to conversations and relationship building.
