The Melrose environmentally responsible synthetic carpet is made from a mix of materials, with EcoLux+ PET for the surface and Re-PÉT for the back, making it one of the most sustainable options. The carpet is sold in extra wide rolls with 1x4 meter dimensions, making it easy to install even for large spaces.

“With the Melrose Eco-Responsible Carpet, you can enjoy the luxurious feel and aesthetic appeal of a synthetic carpet while knowing that you have made a positive impact on the environment. Experience the perfect blend of style, durability, and sustainability, and transform your space into a haven of eco-conscious elegance,” a company spokesperson said.

Aside from providing a warm, cosy feeling to a room, carpet flooring contributes to indoor air quality. Contrary to what many believe, carpeting has an air purifying effect, making it a suitable option for those with asthma and allergies, according to the Carpet Institute of Australia.

In fact, one study found that wall-to-wall carpet reduces dust from the indoor air by 50% compared to hard surface floors. Additionally, carpets provide insulating, soundproofing, and antislip properties.

The eco-friendly Melrose carpet does not compromise on longevity and has a 15-year warranty for residential use.

Better Timber Flooring specialises in hardwood flooring and has a wide range of options, from herringbone parquet to premium laminate. The company is committed to sustainability and has a collection of reclaimed timber tassie oak flooring and furniture collected from old barns and railways.

The company also offers installation, sanding, and refinishing services, as well as extensive water-damage restoration.
